Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre

Located on Algoma University's campus, the Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre is another reason why Algoma University is a great place to study games technology.

In partnership with Algoma University, the Innovation Centre brings to campus each year a series of influential speakers from the games industry for a variety of workshops, talks, and informational speeches. These workshops give our students the opportunity to expand their learning beyond the classroom and also meet professionals in the games industry.

The Innovation Centre also has a business incubator designed to help start up IT companies. If you dream of starting your own games studio, you can start out in the incubator and pay a low monthly fee for space and networking to help you become established. Visit www.ssmic.com for more information.

Also offered is the Innovation Centre Interactive Zone (ICIZ), a game development lab open to anyone interested in developing / enhancing a commercial application using game development and animation software. See http://www.ssmic.com/UploadedFiles/File/ICIZ_FAQ.pdf for details.
