Algoma University is located in the scenic, lively city of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario at the heart of the Great Lakes along the Canada-U.S. border.

Algoma University currently has the highest bandwidth internet access per student in Ontario.
As a small university (class size average of 25 students), Algoma University emphasizes a balance of teaching and research priorities, maintaining small classes to optimize interaction between faculty and students and encouraging provincial, regional and Northern development. Algoma University's vision is to be a university of international distinction enriching generations of diverse cultures and communities. Algoma University is also proud to be the exclusive North American host campus to University of Abertay's Master of Science (Computer Games Technology).
