MSc Group Work Project

MSc Group ProjectTeam work is an important part of working as a programmer or solution developer for the games and entertainment industry. Game Design and Development is one of the courses offered in the MSc Computer Games Technology degree that involves group work and game design and development in a group.

In groups the students produce a complete game design and development plan. The team then develops, using a current industry standard game engine, a full one-level game prototype from the chosen design taking into consideration the relevant criteria such as understandability, scope and ethical constraints.

Significant events are identified with an eye to creating a better approach should the project be carried out again, and to develop a more professional midnset in games development. By the end of this course students will be able to program, design and propose a video game as part of a development team, contribute to the management and direction of a development team, reflect upon their individual role in a development team, and reflect upon the team's ability to meet challenges set for it.
