Michigan Student Tuition Fees
American citizens living in Michigan or Canadian citizens resident in Michigan may register for courses at Algoma University and will be charged tuition fees as per Canadian citizens.
The following chart outlines fees for a student registered in a full course load. Part time studies are available. Official proof of current residency in the State of Michigan is required to qualify for this tuition status.

**Students are not required to live on-campus. Average one bedroom apartment in Sault Ste. Marie is approx. $400 US/month
American citizens of any other state must pay international student fees as noted below
International Tuition Fees (in CAD)
*International students and their dependents must enrol in the University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP), or a similar approved plan, for health coverage. The premium cost for a single student is $756.00 for the period from September 1 to August 31. This fee is subject to change upon evaluation of the program. International students will not be permitted to register until and unless they have enrolled in UHIP or provided documented proof of membership in another similar plan. Please consult the Office of the Registrar for further information.
